Abstract – the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID19) Pandemic ruin the lives of many people not only in the Philippines but in the whole wide world. A lot of people died easily, the worse is, their family will no longer recover the body of the victim to give a better funeral. Many were currently at the hospital to cure this life-threatening disease, while businesses get closed and bankrupted. According to the Philippines Statistic Authority, “Unemployment rate in July 2020 was estimated at 10.0 percent.  This is higher than the unemployment rate of the same month a year ago placed at 5.4 percent, but lower than the record high 17.7 percent during April 2020. Unemployed Filipinos who are 15 years old and over was estimated at 4.6 million in July 2020, higher by 2.1 million compared to the same period a year ago but lower by 2.7 million from three months ago”. Also, to protect the lives of every Filipinos, the Philippine government through the Inter-Agencies Task Force (IATF) formulated, disseminated, and implemented a lot of policies for the benefits of many. Policies that affects all people, especially the minors or the students. However, the researcher believed that Filipinos are resilient, and will always find a way to be happy and will keep on looking for the brighter side even amid of this pandemic. This study was made to assess and document the effect of COVID19 Pandemic to the 500 selected students of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST). One of the universities in Nueva Ecija, Philippines that offers good college education is the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. (J.Mina, 2019) The outcomes of the present study will be beneficial and valuable to the following: To the students. This research will help the students by understanding their hidden optimism or pessimism on their selves. It can also help them to look at the brighter picture of life even most of them were locked down in their respective houses because most of them were below 21 years old which is mandated by the Inter-Agency Task Force to stay at home. To the Parents. The results of this study will help the parents in strengthening the love, care, and support to each member of the family. To the School. The outcomes of this research can be helpful to the university as well as to the professors, and guidance coordinators in enhancing the positivity that must be continued and must be spread with others, and to reduce the negativity that affect the respondents due to this pandemic. To the Philippine Government, Churches, Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, as well as Mental Health Association, Inc. and other Non-Government Organizations by helping the students and children to sustain and motivate them more in especially these days. The questionnaires will be used in gathering relevant data. The frequencies, percentage, weighted mean of answers in each question were checked and used to draw a truthful conclusion regarding the effect of pandemic to the students and appropriate recommendations.

Mental Health of Students in the Philippines during Pandemic: An Assessment by Alvin Gino M. Bautista and Elizabeth S. Manuel

Abstract-This research was made to assess the mental health and psychological wellness during the community quarantine of the 500 selected students from the College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT), of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST). The CMBT was located at Sumacab, Cabanatuan City, Philippines.

The outcomes of the present study will be beneficial and valuable to the following: To the students. The result of this study will provide necessary pieces of information of the mental health of the student which could be a great help to the respondents in understanding themselves. It can also help them to be more aware about mental and psychological health through the help of the recommendation of the researchers; To the Parents. The results of this study will be beneficial to the parents having children who have the same age bracket as the respondents. The recommendations will help them in dealing with the problems with their children’s mental health issues which is not easy to know. To the School. The results of this study can help the school as well as the guidance counselors to know what the main problem of the students is and immediately formulate actions to avoid possible negative effects that can harm the well-being of the students under their supervision. To the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. The results of this study will strengthen their promotion of mental health and the prevention of mental health disorders.    Lastly, this will also be beneficial to future researchers to draw pertinent results to their studies.

The researchers used a set of a survey questionnaire in gathering pertinent data. The questionnaires were disseminated via an online Google form survey sent to the respondents. After all the data needed were gathered, the frequencies of answers in each question were tallied and their percentage was obtained. Through these, the researchers obtained well conclusions and suitable recommendations.

Literacy on Crop Insurance of the Farmers in Licab, Nueva Ecija, Philippines by Alvin Gino M. Bautista

Abstract-This research was made to determine the effectiveness of selected small-scale pharmacy store owners in Cabanatuan City, Philippines in terms of their financial management that will focus on cash and accounts payable management. It involved 16 small-scale pharmacy businesses operating near the government hospitals in Cabanatuan City such as Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research Center, Manuel V. Gallego, Cabanatuan City Hospital, and Eduardo L. Joson Provincial Hospital. These Small-Scale Pharmacy Business includes sole proprietorships and partnership type of business, Other pharmacy stores located in the same area were not included because they belong to the corporate type of business. The outcome of this research will be useful and valuable to the Small-Scale Pharmacy Store owners and it will provide necessary pieces of information about management styles which could be of significant help to the small-scale pharmacy store owners. It can also help them to be more efficient in handling their cash and accounts payable through the help of the recommendation by the researcher. To the Product Suppliers, the outcome of this study will be helpful to the suppliers of different small-scale pharmacy stores in the matter of mode of payment and incentives given to the owners which are most important to motivate them to sell more. To the Investors, the results of this study can help investors who want to have a small-scale pharmacy store in terms of cash and payable handling and dealing with problems that their business might encounter. To the Philippine Economy, the results of this study will strengthen and back up the economy of the Country. Since the study aims to evaluate the business profile of the small-scale pharmacy store owners including managing their working capital, it also includes the evaluation of the competitiveness of their business. This only means that the study wishes to find out more about the nature of the existence of the said enterprises as well as their relationship to their suppliers and customers. Lastly, this will also be beneficial to future researchers to draw pertinent results to their studies. The researcher also wishes to evaluate the literacy of selected small-scale pharmacy businesses within the City of Cabanatuan, Philippines along with the areas of cash management and accounts payable management using the descriptive method of research.

Noong nakaraang linggo habang nagpapagaling ako ng aking bagang ay naisipan kong lumayo muna sa mga tao sa aming bahay upang maiwasan ang usapan at tawanan na makakaapekto sa aking sugat. Minabuti ko munang pumunta sa aming bukid para makalanghap ng sariwang hangin at makapagbasa ng mga paborito kong kwentong pambata.

Doon po sa La Union

Nakatira kami sa isang maliit na barangay na sakop ng lalawigan ng Nueva Ecija. Sakto lang, Payak ang pamumuhay, hindi masyadong maunlad, pero payapa. Minsan nakakalungkot kasi sa totoo lang, bago mo kami marating, dadaan ka muna sa mahaba at maalikabok na daan. Yaan ay kung tag-araw, pero kapag tag-ulan naman, maswerte ka na kung hindi ka mauuntog sa sinasakyan mo dahil malamang sa baku-bakong kalsada ang tatahakin mo. Sa totoo lang din malayo kami sa kabayanan, malayo kami sa kabihasnan. Pero hindi nangangahulugang salat sa karunungan ang mga nakatira dito, maaaring mayroong mga mangmang ngunit ilang porsyento lang sila ng aming populasyon, at maipagmamalaki kong hindi kami nahuhuli sa iba. Magagaling kasi ang mga kapitang namuno sa amin.

Palaging May Magandang Balita

Noong ikatlong linggo ko sa bansang ito, nagkaroon na ako ng trabaho, sa tindahan ng mga mamahaling camera at iba pang elektroniks sa Lucky Plaza, pero sa opisina ako nadistino na medyo malayo sa nasabing lugar, lugar kung saan pinamumugaran at tagpuan ng mga kapamilya nating Pilipino.

Lahat ng kasama ko ay tsekwa, ako lang ang noypi, kaso pag dating sa trabaho medyo masunget sila, kapag minsang naipaliwanag na sayo wag mo ng uliting itanong dahil maaawa ka lang sa sarili mo sa maaring reaksyon nila, yung kulang na lang sabihin sayo na ang bobo bobo mo sabay buntong hininga. Akala ko nga ako lang ang ginaganon pero ugali na pala nila yun kaya sige ok na lang, isa pa pag kainan at uwian na, parang nagbabago sila ng anyo at bumabalik na sa pagiging tao. Mabait naman sila sa totoong buhay, tumatawa din at minsan nagbibiro.

Akala ko ayos na ang lahat, na pwedi ng magparty party, kaso hindi naapprovan ng Govenment nila (MOM) ang permit ko (spass) dahil na din sa pagkakamali ng nag key-in ng application ko, nagpunta pa kami sa MOM para linawin ang lahat sa pag-asang pwedi pang masulusyunan sa pamamagitan ng appeal. Kaso hindi na din pwede, kaya ayon balik na naman ako sa simula.Nagsorry naman sakin yung nagkamali, kaya kahit na nanghihinayang ako, magaan pa din sa loob. Siguro nga hindi para sa akin. Sabi ng may-ari bumalik daw ako after 3 month kung wala pa din akong trabaho at gagawan nya ng paraan.

Sa isang linggo kong pinasok, siguro ay kumita naman ako ng mahigit isang buwan kong sweldo sa Pinas, malaking tulong na din kahit papaano.

Medyo natatakot na din ako dahil unti unti ng nauubos ang mga araw ko dito, kailangan magkatrabaho na sa lalong madaling panahon. Lagi kong dasal “Diyos ko ikaw ang nakakaalam ng mas mabuti para sa akin, dalhin mo po ako at ihanda sa lugar kung saan ako nararapat. Ang lahat ng ito ay ipinagpapaubaya ko sa iyo, iaalay at ipagpapasalamat habang buhay. Amen”

Lagi akong naniniwala na may magandang balitang dadating. Nandito na ako, wala na akong panahon para mawalan ng lakas ng loob, laban lang ng laban dahil umaasa akong sa bandang huli, muli akong magtatagumpay.

June 3 nung dumating ako sa bansang ito, isang buwan na pala ang nakalipas ngunit parang kailan lang. Nagpunta ako dito kasama si mama, para maipasyal ko sya habang ako naman ay hahanap ng trabaho. Isang lingo lang si mama dito, umuwi din sya mag isa at naiwan na ako. Kala ko hindi ako maiiyak pero sobrang nakakalungkot pala, nakakalungkot isipin na bakit kailangan ko pang lumayo para lang kumita ng pera.

Ang laki ng pinagkaiba ng pag tatrabaho ko sa Maynila at dito sa Singapore, although parehas lang na malayo ako sa kanila, iba pa rin pala yung mag isa ka sa malayong lugar, wala kang kasama, wala kang kamag-anak at kahit kaibigan hindi ko kasama sa iisang bahay. lahat bago, lahat binabayaran.

Sa totoo lang iniwan ko ang maganda kong trabaho sa gobyerno ng Pilipinas kapalit ng walang kasiguraduhan trabaho dito. Feeling ko kasi kailangan ko ng magkaroon ng savings at aminin na natin, hindi ko yun magagawa ng mabilis kung nasa pinas ako. Yun nga lang sumusugal ako, nagbabakasakali. Tiwala sa sarili, lakas ng loob at pananalig sa Diyos, yan lang ang matibay kong sandata para mag tagumpay at manalo sa laban kong ito.

Hindi naman ako nahohome sick sa ngayon, medyo sanay na din naman kasi ako sa malayo, yung nga lang nagdadasal pa din ako na sana maging ok ang lahat, at ang mga katulad kong Filipino na nakikipag sapalaran dito sa Singapore.  Kung pweding sana lahat na lang kami maging maayos hindi ako magdadalawang isip na ipanalangin yon.

Sa isang buwan na paninirahan ko dito, totoo palang nakakamiss ang mga pagkaing pinoy. Andaming adjustment na kailangang gawin, ang hirap makisama sa mga chekwa, ang hirap mag na ngang mag English, ang hirap pa intindihin ng English nila. kung sabagay nagsisimula pa lang naman ako, marami pang susunod na bukas, sana kasama pa din kita sa mga susunod na pangyayari sa buhay ko dito.
